Digi-chores is an adorably fun way for users to encourage themselves to do chores. The gamification features in the app– including challenges, levels, and rewards– offer incentive for users who feel otherwise uninspired to do chores, and makes organizing them a breeze as well.
Research

I performed three main types of research for my project– they were a competitive analysis, survey, and a sketching phase. With this research I found three main themes:
1. People need incentive/motivation to do chores: Surveyees said they were only successful at completing chores when another person was involved.
2. People lack a chore system: Majority of surveyees said they have no system or tracker for completing chores, and that it’s usually a sporadic decision.
3. People need autonomy in their chore management: Some of the apps I analyzed failed because they were not adjustable. Users had to do tasks in the exact way the app dictated, and lacked vital features that the users need– some examples include a calendar and reminder notifications.
